Saidur Rahman Mashreky is currently working as the Director of the Department of Non-communicable Diseases & Mental Health at the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh (CIPRB) and as a Professor of Non-Communicable Disease at Bangladesh University of Health Science (BUHS). Previously, he used to work as an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at BUHS and as an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the Centre for Medical Education, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, he is the Treasure of Bangladesh ECD network and Executive Committee Member of the Association of Medical Education Bangladesh. 

Mashreky completed his  PhD. from the Public Health Science Department of Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and worked for about 25 years in the field of Public Health. He graduated in medicine (MBBS) from Rajshahi University in 1991 and completed a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Dhaka. He also did a post-graduate diploma in Medical Education (Dip.MEd.) from the University of Dundee, UK, in 1989.

His research focus includes NCDs & Mental Health, injury prevention and child development. He has vast experience in developing and implementing community-based interventions.

He has vast experience in designing and implementing community-based interventions. He designed and implemented a digital technology for implementing the WHO PEN protocol in Bangladesh's primary health care setting. Prevention of Child Injuries through Social Intervention and Education (PRICES) is one of his outstanding contributions to child injury prevention and public health in low-income countries. He published more than 100 hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals.
