About: I am a dedicated Scientific Researcher and Entomology Technician based in Nigeria, specializing in the surveillance and control of vector-borne diseases. With a background in Zoology (B.Sc. Hons, Second Class Upper) from the University of Maiduguri, my work focuses on bridging the gap between biological research and public health implementation to combat infectious diseases of poverty. Currently, I serve as an Entomology Technician for the IMPACT Project, a collaborative initiative between the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR). In this capacity, I contribute to national malaria control efforts through high-level entomological surveillance and data-driven intervention mapping. Additionally, I am a Research Assistant for the AnoSTEP-Afrika project, where I investigate the urban bionomics of the invasive Anopheles stephensi vector to inform evidence-based response strategies. My research interests include insecticide resistance management, implementation research (IR), and the development of integrated vector management (IVM) strategies in resource-limited settings. I am a published contributor, where I share findings on natural mosquito remedies and the effectiveness of malaria interventions in endemic communities. I am committed to advancing public health outcomes in West Africa through multidisciplinary collaboration and the application of innovative surveillance tools.
