Saidur Rahman Mashreky is currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Public Health at North South University and as an Honorary Professor in the Department of Non-Communicable Disease at Bangladesh University of Health Sciences(BUHS). Dr. Mashreky also worked as Director of the Department of Non-Communicable Diseases & Mental Health at the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh (CIPRB). Previously, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at BUHS and as an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the Centre for Medical Education, Dhaka, Bangladesh.He is also the Treasurer of the Bangladesh ECD Network and an Executive Committee Member of the Association of Medical Education, Bangladesh.

Mashreky completed his Ph.D. from the Public Health Sciences Department of Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, and has worked for about 25 years in the field of public health. He graduated in medicine (MBBS) from Rajshahi University in 1991 and earned a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Dhaka. Additionally, he obtained a postgraduate diploma in Medical Education (Dip.MEd.) from the University of Dundee, UK, in 1989.

His research focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health, injury prevention, and child development. He has extensive experience in developing and implementing community-based interventions. Notably, he designed and implemented digital technology for in implementing the WHO PEN protocol in Bangladesh's primary health care setting. One of his significant contributions to child injury prevention and public health in low-income countries is the Prevention of Child Injuries through Social Intervention and Education (PRICES) program. He has published over 110 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
