Professor Alex McConnachie

Professor Alex McConnachie

Alex McConnachie is the Assistant Director of Biostatistics, and Professor of Clinical Trial Biostatistics, at the Robertson Centre for Biostatistics at the University of Glasgow. He has over 25 years’ experience of the design, analysis, and reporting of randomised trials and other health research studies. The Robertson Centre is part of the UKCRC-registered Glasgow Clinical Trials Unit, and employs a range of staff with expertise in IT, Data Management, Biostatistics, and Project Management, and has supported medical research in the West of Scotland, the UK, and internationally, for over 30 years. The Centre is widely recognised as a centre of excellence for the design, implementation, and analysis of large, multicentre, randomised trials.
