Emma is an academic health economist with over 20 years’ experience in applied and methodological health economics with a strong publication record in high quality peer-reviewed journals. Prof McIntosh is Deputy Director of the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) team at the University of Glasgow and Director of the NIHR Global Health Research Group on Arthritis in Tanzania. Emma is a board member of the NIHR PHR funding panel and Glasgow Centre for Population Health, advisor to national and international grant funding bodies and has a long-standing record as UK and International PhD examiner. Prof McIntosh is lead author on Oxford University Press Handbook ‘Applied Methods of Cost-Benefit Analysis in health Care, 2010 and co-author of ‘Applied Health Economics for Public Health Research and Practice’ (Handbooks in Health Economics, Series Editors: Gray and Briggs).
